- Note: This location is only 3 blocks from Downtown San Juan Capistrano and the historic Mission San Juan Capistrano.
(About 0.2 miles or 1000 feet). There are MANY additional fine restaurants in Downtown San Juan Capistrano and also at
the nearby Amtrak / Metrolink Train Station. Just a short list of such eating locations include:
- Supercharger Attendant: This is one of the few Tesla Supercharging locations where there is an attendant.
I spoke to the attendant there and to my surprise, is not an actual parking valet. He is not allowed to drive your Tesla.
As such, you do not leave your kesy with him and he can not move your car out of a charging spot once it is done charging.
Thus, you can't leave your car with him to be moved into a charging spot if there are none available when he arrives.
I'm not exactly sure how he expedites the charging process, which I should have asked. Maybe he calls or texts your smart
phone when your car is done charging so you can personally come and move it out of a charging spot. You might be thinking
that this is not useful as you are automatically notified on your iPhone App when your Tesla is done charging. But your App
can't tell you if there is another Tesla waiting for your spot to charge. If there are no charging spots available when you
arrive, maybe you can just park elsewhere and go to eat nearby while waiting. When a spot becomes available, the attendant
could text or call you to let you know. I don't know if he performs these functions, but I can think of any other way that
he could expedite the process without the ability to actually drive your Tesla in and out of the charging spots himself.
