Today I dropped everyone off at Harrah's Hotel & Casino and then parked the Tesla Model X at the Bellagio Hotel. The first day we arrived at the Delano in Las Vegas I added the $18 per day self-parking option to our hotel registration for the rest of our stay. That option not only allows for in and out of the Delano parking garage all day but also self-parking at most of the MGM properties throughout Las Vegas. MGM owns quite a few properties in Las Vegas including: Aria Hotel & Casino, Bellagio, Excalibur Luxor, Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, MGM Grand, Mirage, New York New York Hotel & Casino, and Park MGM. Further information can be found at: mgmresorts.com/en/things-to-do/parking.html. Thus I was able to just use my hotel room key to get in and out of the parking garage at Bellagio at no extra cost. Very convenient! Whatever hotel we'd be visiting on the Las Vegas Strip I'd try to find the nearest MGM hotel to avoid double paying for parking.

After parking the Tesla at Bellagio I could not find how to walk out of the garage to Las Vegas Boulevard. After going down the two flights of stairs, the only open walking direction in the garage seemed to be to walk in the opposite direction of The Strip. Getting from Bellagio to Harrah's was going to be a long walk and I didn't need to start out by walking in the opposite direction. The only direct way to The Strip that I could see was to walk down the garage vehicle exit ramp. There was a sign that said "No Pedestrians On Ramp". But if the hotel didn't provide a way to walk straight to The Strip, then that seemed to be the only reasonable route available to me. So, despite the sign, I walked down the vehicle exit ramp. It did have a very narrow sidewalk cluttered with lamp posts but I managed to walk down the ramp while staying out of the road for most of the way. The walk down the ramp was only about 100 feet before it got to an actual pedestrian sidewalk so it wasn't too bad.

Our plan was to visit Harrah's, Flamingo, Ceasars Palace and then the Mirage in that order. That would place us at the hotel where the Tesla Model X is parked at the end of our touring today. All 3 hotels are located fairly close to each other.

Fulton Street Food Hall
at the Harrah's Hotel

On their own website they say: "This is not a food court, but a chef-driven marketplace offering various selections made fresh throughout the day. Whatever you are craving, you'll find it here. The Fulton Street Food Hall is open 24 hours daily, but you can also enjoy a sit-down, off-the menu breakfast from 6:30 AM to 1 PM (2 PM on Friday and Saturday)."

Barbara and I shared a pulled chicken burrito while Shelli and Vikki shared a shredded beef taco salad. Both food items were pretty big and were excellent! They might be the best burrito and taco salad we've ever had, and they weren't too expensive by Las Vegas standards. As they mentioned in their own description, they do have all different types of food available. Despite their description, the layout, seating, and ambiance is that of a "food court".

Because I was wearing my usual fedora hat and was sitting with 3 gals, one of the performers would point over to our table from time to time and announce that we have "Charlie's Angels" with us today! He'd also sometimes point over to another table of a few young gals and announce that we also have the cast of "Sex In The City" with us today!

The Saxman Duo played "Celebrate" for Shelli's Birthday and for the birthday of one other person in the audience.

Above is a poster of other performances featured at The Piano Bar. I'd be interested in coming back one night to see the "Dualing Pianos".

Wildlife Habitat
at The Flamingo Hotel

The Flamingo Hotel is not right next to Harrah's, but it is fairly close and just a short walk on the same side of the Las Vegas Strip as Harrah's.

The Wildlife Habitat is outdoors at the Flamingo Hotel but there is plenty of shade with all the trees and plants. There are also many places to sit and rest and just enjoy the tropical surroundings in the habitat. The habitat is not very big but it is pleasant and worth a visit.

The "Fall of Atlantis"
at The Forum Shops
at Caesars Palace Hotel

The "Fall of Atlantis" runs once per hour on the hour. It is located all the way at the end of The Forum Shops so it is quite a walk from the entrance of the hotel. We entered the hotel at about 5:45 PM and it took us more than 15 minutes to walk all the way to the end of The Forum Shops! We missed about the first minute of the show. A large crowd was gathered around the display so we had to work our way to somewhere I could take photos.

We plan to take photos at the official "Welcome To Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada" sign, but just in case we don't get around to it, these in front of a Ceasars Palace Gift Shop will have to do.

Back when we were at the Wildlife Habitat, Barbara asked me to make reservations for that same night for Australia's Thunder From Down Under, an all male revue show. She thought my sisters would get a kick out of that show. While I had internet signal on my phone at the Wildlife Habitat, I figured I should make the reservation then. Looking it up on the Vegas.com App on my phone I saw that only a few seats were still available and they were real good seats. That is a show I wasn't interested in going to myself. That looked more appropriate for a "girls night out". When I started to make the reservation, the App would only allow me to book for myself and the guests that would be attending with me. There is no option on the App to book tickets for others and not attend myself.

At that point I realized it would be best to set up a Vegas.com account for my wife, load the App on her phone, and purchase the tickets under her name. As I was doing that I noticed that much better VIP seats were available for a price that was just a little more than the regular seats. I quickly booked 3 of those seats under her name as they were going fast and there were only a few VIP seats left. I was mystified why I didn't see the option for the VIP seats when I had started to book them under my account, but I soon realized my mistake. I had accidentally booked the Chippendales all male reivew show instead of Australia's Thunder From Down Under all male review show! But they decided to stick with the Chippendales tickets as they were much better VIP seats, were similar type shows, and at least people know what you are talking about when you say you went and saw "Chippendales". Telling people that you saw "Australia's Thunder From Down Under" would require additional explanation of what kind of show you went to see. You'd probably tell them that "it is like Chippendales, but from Australia".

Unlike Australia's Thunder that started at 9 PM, Chippendales started at 8:30 PM. There was no longer enough time to get to Bellagio where the Tesla Model X was parked. Instead we all took a taxi from Ceasars Palace directly to the Rio Hotel where the Chippendales show is located. Our plans changed to having dinner at the Rio Hotel and then I would take a taxi back to the Bellagio to get the car.

All-American Bar And Grille
at the Rio Hotel

We had dinner at the All-American Bar And Grille next to the casino at the Rio Hotel. Since we were still pretty full from lunch we just shared hummus and salads. After dinner, Barbara and my 2 sisters, Shelli and Vikki, headed to the Chippendales theater and I headed out the front door to catch a taxi back to the Bellagio hotel. I'm a big fan of using Uber, but in Las Vegas there seems to be a line of taxis waiting to pick up passengers at every hotel. Unlike Uber, we never had to wait for the ride to get to us. The price of using a taxi seemed pretty similar to the price of using Uber, at least in Las Vegas. We never paid more than $10 plus tip to get from one hotel to another.

Barbara took the above photos at the Chippendales performance.

Bellagio Hotel & Casino

The first thing I did after arriving at the Bellagio Hotel was to figure out how to get to the garage and walk to my Tesla. I then drove the Tesla from where I had parked it at the stairs closest to The Stip over to an open parking space closest to the garage elevator. That way, as soon as Barbara called to let me know her show was over, I would just have a short walk from the elevator to the Tesla.

Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden, La Dolce Vita

The next thing I did at the Bellagio was walk around the entire lobby and casino level of the hotel taking photos of everything that I found interesting including the Botanical Garden and the World's Largest Chocolate Fountain.

Petrossian Bar, A Refined Bar & Lounge
at Bellagion Las Vegas

Who says Las Vegas is expensive? Being all by myself tonight I was ready to splurge on myself and buy a $30 to $50 glass of wine for myself. But as you can see from the photos the most expensive glass of red wine they have is an $18 glass of Pinot Noir. Come on! This is the upscale Bellagio. You can do better than that! Some of the cheap restaurants in Las Vegas have better wine selections than what they offer here. The wine aren't bad, but I really felt like spoiling myself this evening and this is a super fancy bar at a luxury hotel. However, on the positive side, the servers were very attentive and provided a free trail mix type snack with the wine. Having live piano music was also a nice touch and I could not have asked more as far as the ambiance and beauty of this lounge in the Bellagio lobby.

The description of the Chippendales show said it was two hours so I wasn't expecting my wife to call me until about 10:30 PM. But instead she called about 10 PM. I was only half way through my second glass of wine. I had to quickly drink the rest of it and pay the bill so that they would not have to wait too long for me to pick them up. Since I had moved the Tesla closer to the elevator in the self-parking garage it didn't take me too long to get to the car. The drive over to the Rio Hotel was only about ten minutes. Since Labor Day Weekend was over, the streets were pretty empty compared to the 3 day holiday weekend. After picking up Barbara, Shelli and Vikki at the Rio Hotel we headed back to the Delano Hotel.
